Sentinel documentation

Sentinel is Aurora Edge's identity verification engine. It confirms that a person is real, present, and who they claim to be, then screens them against global watchlists. This documentation covers how to integrate Sentinel across hosted verification links, the operations dashboard, and server-side webhooks.

What Sentinel does

A single verification combines presence, document, and screening checks into one outcome your systems can act on.

Liveness

Confirms a live person is present and captures a reference face.

Document verification

Reads and validates Emirates ID and passports.

Face matching

Compares the live face against the document portrait.

Screening

Checks the customer against sanctions and PEP sources.

Lifecycle

Tracks each customer through a clear status, with re-checks on expiry.

How integration works

A typical integration has four moments, from issuing a session to receiving the result.
