Aegis documentation

Aegis is Aurora Edge's compliance onboarding and risk-rating platform. It takes a counterparty or partner from first contact to a defensible compliance decision. This documentation is written for the people who will use Aegis: what the platform does, how your compliance staff work in it, what your counterparties experience, how the risk rating is produced, and how to integrate Aegis with your own systems.

Aegis is in controlled onboarding
Access is arranged with Aurora Edge rather than self-serve. Your tenant, intake configuration, environments, and API credentials are provisioned as part of onboarding, and the exact configuration for your deployment is confirmed with you then. Talk to your Aurora Edge representative before you plan an integration.
New to Aegis?
Start with Core concepts for the five ideas that explain most of the platform's behaviour, then Roles and access to see who can do what.

What Aegis is

You invite an applicant. They complete a structured KYC questionnaire and upload their documents through a secure portal. Aegis screens them against sanctions and adverse-media sources, reads and classifies their documents with AI, scores their risk against your own scoring model, and drives the decision through a controlled, audited workflow with two-person approval.

Everything is fail-closed: a screening or scoring error is never read as a clean pass, and a risk rating is never final until an analyst has confirmed the parts a machine cannot judge.

Where to go next

  • Core concepts: tenants, applications, pairs, intake labels, and how freezing protects a rating.
  • Onboarding lifecycle: the statuses, the permitted transitions, the completeness gate, and maker-checker approval.
  • Risk rating: how a rating and class are produced, and where an analyst must sign off.
  • Onboarding API reference: provision applications and originate sign-in links from your own systems.
  • Integration guide: which endpoint to choose, the two integration recipes, and how to reconcile outcomes.
